Immigrant Stories

Immigrant Stories is a research and archiving project operated by the Immigration History Research Center (IHRC) at the University of Minnesota.  The project helps immigrants, refugees, and their families create digital stories- short personal videos with images, text, music, and audio- about their experiences.  Each story is preserved and made publicly available through the IHRC Archives, the largest archive of immigrant and refugee life in North America.  Since 1965, students, teachers, community members, and researchers from around the world have consulted the IHRC Archives to study immigrant life in the United States.
