Celebrating 50 years of the University of Minnesota's Center for Women

On the second floor gallery an exhibit has been set up, showcasing the progress over 50 years of the Women's Center. Dedicated to the advancement of women's rights and education, the Center began as the first of its kind in the country and continues to be active in the community.

The Beginning - 1960's The first section has two sections detailing the creation of the experimental department and its transition into a full-fledged member of the University.
Another two sections from the 1960's and two more from the 1970's detail the burgeoning Centers impact and problems. 1970's
1980's The 1970's get one more section, and then the 1980's take up four more.
One 1990's poster sets off the more recent developments within the department. 1990's
1990's Three more sections about the 1990's round out the four sections dedicated to each decade.
