Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, NJ), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2009. Gristel Ramler and Birgit Nurme of the National Archives in Tallin, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.


20.02.1893 - n.a. Born in Sauga, Estonia. Participated in the Estonian War of Independence (cavalier). Member of Estonian parliament in 1934 and Estonian government in exile. Lawyer. Emigrated to Geislingen, Germany and from there to the U.S. (lived in Chicago)


Collection is organized into 11 folders: 1. Passport 2. Memoirs from the Estonian War of Independence (manuscript in typewriting, 1975, in Estonian), 15 sheets 3. Correspondence with Alfred J.
