| Abstract: | Interpreter Releases began publication in 1923 under the auspices of the Foreign Language and Information Service, which later became the Common Council for American Unity and, eventually, the American Council for Nationalities Services. It contained information on immigration law, quotas, immigrant services, and more, and was provided to social workers, service organizations, and libraries, among others. Recently, the publication was purchased by Federal Publications Inc. and is still being published by that company. | |

Records of Interpreter Releases contains correspondence, subject files, and resource materials on a variety of topics (particulary related to U.S. immigration legislation) produced and accumulated by editorial staff of Interpreter Releases.
