Mykola A. Novak was a founding member and past president of the Ukrainian Culture Center (Los Angeles, CA), and a member of the Mayor's Council for International Visitors. The Center (formerly known as the Ukrainian Social Center) was founded in 1944 to promote social and cultural life of its members and to provide mutual aid benefits in times of sickness.
