A journalist and engineer, Michael (or Mykhailo) Seleshko (1901- ) was born in Vytvytsia, Ukraine. He served with the Ukrainian Army 1918-1919, was a political prisoner in Poland, 1922-1923, and completed his education in the 1920s and 1930s. During World War II he was an officer in the Ukrainian National Army and was a prisoner of war in the German concentration camp in Potsdam. Following the war, he settled in Canada, where he worked as a journalist and was active in Ukrainian Canadian professional and cultural organizations.
