| Abstract: | Papers (ca. 1971) of Jewish-Italians David Yona (1901-1975), a civil engineer and writer, and his wife Anna (Foa) Yona, consist of two typed manuscripts of memoirs. David's memoirs cover his childhood through 1932; Anna's cover the years 1932-1945. Also included is a list of David Yona's articles which appeared in La Controcurrente. | |

A civil engineer by profession and a frequent contributor of articles to the Italian American magazine La Controcorrente (Boston, Massachusetts) during and after WWII, David Yona (1901-1971) was born in Iurea, in northern Italy. He and Anna (Foa) Yona were married in 1932 in Turin; they came to the United States in 1940, and lived in New York City.
