Vitalis Zukauskas was born in Lithuania and came to the United States after World War II. In 1951, he organized the Lithuanian Community Players in Brooklyn, New York. A dramatist and author, he also performed as a comedian in a topical one-man show called the Theater of One; the show was staged for Lithuanian audiences in Canada, Australian, and the United States.
